Individual Coaching

Individual squash lessons are an integral part of a players development. Squash is an individual sport it only makes sense a player should have some individual lessons to facilitate their development. At EssenceSquash we feel it is important for a developing squash player of any age or level to find the right balance between individual lessons and group coaching. Performance players may want the coach to attend matches, scout opponents, plan matches, organise fitness, tournament program, video analysis and player profiling.

Individual session example:

  1. Warm up – Exercises and routine to get you ready to start the session
  2. Technical assessment – Understanding where you are and where you will need specific technical coaching
  3. Technical coaching – Solutions and ideas to improve technical area specific to you
  4. Pressure feeds – Progressive pressure feeding to apply feel technical improvement
  5. Fitness – Squash fitness specific to you
  6. Conclusion – Conversation to summarize what we have learned and appropriate homework to follow up
